Currently playing in Michigan is one of the Tri-City's local stars, Bobby Balderrama. Bobby was known from a popular classic group called Question Mark & The Mysterians. Although he is known to still tour with Question Mark, for a Blast-From-The-Past, Bobby has his own group called, The Robert Lee Band that is kicking serious butt and is a great experience to go see. Robert Lee Balderrama I would highly recommend stopping out and catching their show when ever you have some free time and just want to get out and relax. Although you may not have a chance to relax because the beat will definitely move your feet, and you will find yourself out on the dance floor rocking out with the rest of the crowd. The Robert Lee Band is a strong four to five piece band that gives the area a fine collection of rock, blues and originals. Bobby has his own solo CD and is currently recording a second CD. Be looking for this CD to be released in the near future! I first met Bobby in 2001 at a benefit in Midland, Michigan that I hosted and I was very impressed with his stage performance and selection of songs. Since then my band had the chance to play along side of The Robert Lee Band at a festival called “Blues By The Bay” in the city of Tawas, Michigan in August of 2005. Lately I had a few weeks off and wanted to catch his show.

On November 25th 2005, I called Bobby and found him playing at the Tool Shed in Munger, Michigan. Bobby was good enough to let me play his guitar and jam with his band, and I had a blast. So I caught up with him the next weekend at Bemo’s in Bay City, Michigan. The pictures I shot came from that show. I look forward to doing an official interview with Bobby and his band in the near future! All I can say is they are one great band, and a good bunch of friends!
